I’m Patrik, founder of PA Player Advancement.
I work with elite hockey players across Europe and North America—from ambitious junior prospects to established NHL professionals. My coaching philosophy is built around one simple belief:
Great players aren’t built by doing more.
They’re built by doing the right things, with purpose.
Every player has different strengths, weaknesses and goals. My role is to identify what limits performance, create a structured development plan and build habits that transfer directly into games. I combine experience from professional hockey with years spent working inside elite organizations and alongside some of the game’s best players. I don’t just teach skills. I teach players how to become more effective hockey players.
MY PHILOSOPHY – The PA Method
How Great Players Are Built
Every player is different.
Development starts with understanding the player—not forcing every athlete through the same system.
My process follows four principles:
Analyze
Every development journey begins with understanding the player.
We evaluate skating mechanics, puck skills, decision-making, movement patterns and game habits to identify what truly limits performance.
Identify
Instead of chasing every weakness, we focus on the areas that will create the biggest impact.
Small details create big results.
Develop
Training is purposeful.
Every drill has a reason.
Every repetition connects directly to game situations, helping players build habits that translate under pressure.
Adapt
Development never stops.
As the player improves, the process evolves.
We constantly adjust training to match new goals, new challenges and higher levels of competition.

The Philosophy
I believe hockey skills should never be trained in isolation.
Elite performance comes from connecting skating, puck control, scanning, decision-making and execution into one complete game.
The objective isn’t simply to become more skilled.
It’s to become more effective when the game matters most.
